F.R.E.D. has been in the middle of the his recording deal negotiation for a hot minute now. The major dilemma wit signing wit the right label home is that labels like SONY, Atlantic and J Records feel that FRED's image and demographic is from ages 24 and up. So they are afraid and/or unwilling to invest in a NEW unknown adult RnB/AC artist. They strongly state that that market of consumers no longer purchase cds anymore and it literally takes up to several millions in marketing dollars budgeted by the label to properly introduce and market a new artist, and they, the labels are only interested in the younger market 21 and down, they consider a safer gamble, unless the desired 25+ yr old artist has already been established through prior successful records released nationally. FRED, obviously has more than what it takes to become one of your favorite new artist, with a large slate of hits already recorded on his debut record GUSH, BUT we need YOU to make alot of noise HERE by posting your comments addimently reinforcing the FACT that adults support and adore RnB and are here to stay and support their artists, which today with the recent passing of Gerald Levert and Mr James Brown, seems to becoming a rare find. Simply put, if YOU want to see and here FRED in 2007, you gotta say it loud and proud. LETS DO US, ladies and gentlemen. We are not dinosaurs, we are the reason why RnB/Hip Hop Soul IS what and where it is....
